Hi everyone!
I've been following the forum for a couple of months now but I have just decided to join.
I'm new to the whole gardening scene but it runs in my family and this year I decided to give a go at growing my own veg and stuff.
I bought a cheap polytunnel from ebay and because we have a patio, not a garden we (me, husband and a few friends) came up with weird and wonderful solutions to the lack of soil.
So we got a bathtub, a few boxes and a big vase and this is what we are using!
In the pictures I have what we are growing now.
So beans, tomatoes, carrots, garlic and spinach all grown from seed (apart from the carrots and garlic) are 3 weeks old and the lettuce and other types of edible leaves are only 6 days old!
I'm the proud "mum" of my own veg patch and I am looking forward to reaping the rewards !
I'm looking forward to being an active member here!
Talk to you all soon!
Gi

Hi Givaz,
"Necessity is the mother of invention," and if your polytunnel garden is anything to go by, you will have lots of other things to share. Looking forward to chatting here on the forum Hope you enjoy your new garden as it grows with you.
How did you secure the tunnel to stop it blowing away?
Fairly new to the forum myself.......full of gems here if you have time to read....

Thanks to everyone who replied!
We secured the polytunnel with other pots of plants and flowers and we keep it in a place where it doesn't get much wind!
If we need to move the pots we're thinking of getting some paving slabs to keep it in place!
