Hi Guys. I going to start my old Tractor this evening, and discovered that a Wagtail had built her Nest, under the Hood of the Tractor ( See Pics) Can anyone here tell me if its a Pied Wagtail. ? You might see two Birds together, in one of the Pics (Apologies for the poor quality Photos) are the Male & Female, or which is the Female? I will not fire up the Tractor, until the young are reared.

Yep Pied Wagtails alright, I successfully moved a nest last year from my van engine to a nesting box although not recommended to disturb them I had no choice. All survived and these guys are a permanent fixture around the yard.

Wonderful photos Summer ! We have two wagtails who seem very relaxed around people, as they often forage close to the house. And judging by the expression of your wagtail sitting on her nest, she's not unduly bothered by you and your camera. You'll have fun watching the young ones grow.

Yep, wagtails are lovely; they seem to tolerate humans and don't create the horrible mess that starlings and swallows do when they're nesting.
We have a resident pair near the pond.
