Dont know if its the nemaslug, nematodes, beertraps or pine needle pathways, but I intercropped lettuce between leek and onion drills -
I hope I am not cursng myself, but they have not been touched by slugs
There are also carrots, beetroot and parsely in the same bed.
I believe that Onion and Carrot fly eat each other - so maybe onions help against slugs as well? _________________ My Garden blog

i never heard that onion flies and carrot flies are canibalistic. i have tried inter-cropping carrots and onions other years and it did not deter the carrot fly. I have seen bad attacks of onion fly on crops raised from seed but not in recent years.
