Hi,
I poster a question yesterday regarding the choice of a tree in the right side corner or our front garden.
We're also planning to cover the wall (the one facing the house/against the road) with an evergreen hedge.
For the moment, we have a few names but would love to have your opinion on what would work the best.
My worry is to choose plants that won't grow at all at the same speed or won't go nice together.
We would like a kind of "free" hedge with as less pruning as possible, something mixed, nice to look at but also providing a light screening with the road (without creating a 4m high fence as the sun set on this side)...
Schrubs we like:
Prunus laurocerasus 'Rotundifolia' / Cherry laurel
Nandina domestica 'Richmond' / Sacred bamboo, Chopstick plant
Olearia traversii / Daisy bush (traversii)
Photinia x fraseri 'Camilvy' or 'Red Robin'
Hoheria sexstylosa / Ribbonwood, Lacebark
Thank you!! |

Have a look at some viburnums too, there are many different varieties and they are wonderful shrubs. |
