Hi pondigger - I'm still puzzled why you call this a pondless water feature as I can clearly see a pool of water at the end.
I attach a couple of picture of what is considered a pondless water feature i.e. a water feature without open water. One picture is from a distance and the other is close up.
In the pictures we placed the water tank (reservoir) beneath the cobble stone at end of waterfall. All the cobble stones are on top of the reservoir lid. This lid is purposely designed to carry 1500 kg of weight so people can safely walk on top of the reservoir. There is also a hidden access point in the lid which is sized such that access to the pump is easy but is impossible for anyone to fall in. There is also no problem with splash as the reservoir is positioned and sized to catch all possible splash.

hi, nice work in the photos, you are right about the pondless.i like a nice pool of water at the bottomof the waterfall.i use the reservoir to collect rain water of the roof so it can be used to water plants wash decks ect.so people can get a nice water feature and a rain water system worked of the same pump yours ponddigger

Pond digger, Rockwood is asking (and I agree) Why is it, that there is a visible pool of water (pond), at the end of a pondless waterfall?
If as you claim it is a pondless waterfall it should not have a pond.

Did you mean to call it a pond then rather than pondless
Its useful that we don't confuse the difference as they are two completely different terms. A pond has an open body of water and a pondless does not have an open body of water. chalk and cheese, if you get my point

Pondigger,
Starting a thread by linking to a video hosted elsewhere eg. youtube does not constitute discussion.
This is the Irish gardeners forum, and being Ireland many of our readers have slow internet speeds. This means that there will be some unable to view such a video.
We have no problems with you linking to a suitable video, however, it should be accompanied by a brief outline of its contents.
If you post it, you must be prepared to discuss it.
See rule 11 [c ] here... http://www.gardenplansireland.com/forum/about27.html
Pondigger, please provide a brief outline of the videos contents or I will be forced to lock the thread.
