I think maybe buying your veg is a better option, or else lose the laziness and get digging. Nothing better than sweat to make veggies grow |

I've just come from my local garden centre and noticed that they are doing courses on fruit and vegetable growing. They sound like good value....an all day course with your lunch etc included for 50 euro. It's an easy enough drive for you...an hour on the N11 will get you down to the Ballycanew turn off.
Check the above link and you can ring them to get more information I'm sure. ...you have to book in advance.
Hope this will help you.
If you don't want to drive down here, I'm sure there must be courses happening in other places too. |

Not sure if it's the done thing to recommend yourself but I'm running a beginners workshop tomorrow in Kilkenny. See www.greensideup.ie for more info - there's still a couple of places available. |

No worries. If you know anyone with suitable premises in your area with a group of around ten I could put together a workshop for you. You can email me (see the link) for more info. Good luck with the gardening. |

If your lazy go up to windyridge garden centre on rochestown avenue, only up the road from deansgrange, they have loads of plants & I'm sure plenty of veg too, I'm going to check it out myself in the next week or two to get started for this year so I'll post up what veg they have pre-planted if your interested as it's only veg I'm interested in.
I bought a tomato plant there last year & it took over my lidl greenhouse Going to try manage things better this year.
Also, try homebase in rathfarnham, I got some pre potted herbs last year that grew well in my greenhouse, pity I planted them at the back where they were inaccessible. |
