are the flies. This one's resting on a young blackberry nightshade.
Probably been eaten by now....

good shot Mungobeanie and you just reminded me of that little fact that I forgot to mention when I introduced myself......the flies !!!! there have been times when they are so bad that I've given up gardening and have actually gone back inside because they have annoyed me so much, but just lately I have been getting some help in keeping their numbers down.........
I have so many of these leaf curling spiders in my garden.....as well as many other types of spiders and their webs have always got flies caught in them. _________________ I love my garden...so do the birds, the bugs and the weeds!!!
