I have bought a polytunnel and at this moment I can put it anywhere I want BUT we are on a hill with the prevailing wind from the west. Can I put the polytunnel end on to the wind or would it be better to put it side on? The tunnel is 14 x 30 ft. I wonder if making the trench around for the plastic a little deeper may help?
I hope you can advise |

I have the side of my tunnel facing west or so, most wind comes from the west here with lots of flat open feilds for it to gather speed. It stood up to the crazy wind back in october 85mph or that. If it is a large tunnel defo concret all foundation tubes into ground.
Little bit more work bit when there is a gale blowing you will have piece of mind. |
