how early are you planning to plant them? , you are going to need 4-6 weeks to chit them prior to planting, normally St. Patricks Day is early enough for putting them down. Dig your plot now, (wait for few dry days to come together), and take it handy you've loads of time, throw in compost and manure cover if getting too wet and wait till the soil warms up, or come up with a cunning scheme to warm it up faster as you do seem a tad impatient. Couldcover the raised beds with old windows or a sheet of clear strong plastic, worked for me and i was harvesting first earlies in May,12 weeks after planting. |

foremost for earlies and Maris for main crop. You will have to experiment to find what best suits your ground and taste buds! |
