Hi all,

I'm back again with a question regarding my ditch. I am now looking for an [b]evergreen groundcover type plant to grow over the side of my ditch to face the roadside. I have been thinking of rubus tricolor at the moment, but thats because I haven't come across anything else. i would love other suggestions on something evergreen with nice leaves, flowering optional.

Thanks a mill

Vincas do very well in those situations, and you have the bonus of flowers too.

I came across a Euonymus purple winter creeper at the weekend, nice shrub and it might suit.

as sive says the vincas are great for ground cover and there are several varieties with various colours in the leaves.if the area is shaded pachysandra is a lovely evergreen with nicely shaped leaves.
