Do I need to wait after cutting for moss killer.

Hi Folks,

I bought a Weed & Moss Killer yesterday and it says to wait 3 days after cutting the lawn before applying it.

As I only cut the lawn yesterday do I really need to wait the 3 days?

It's not that I'm impatient but it's due to rain soon and I'd like to apply it today if possible.

dont apply if rain is imminent, and rain is imminent

you will get no benefit. if it gets washed off, Guess it needs to dry grass to work

I'm showing my ignorance now but I thought it would need rain in order to soak the weed and moss killer down to the roots. It does say on the package that if it doesn't rain within 48 hours to hose the lawn.

When I cut the lawn yesterday I had raised the blades and really only took a little off the top.

Ray and Fiona light rain at least is required to wash the weed/moss killer off the thin blades of grass and onto the moss/weeds below.

For the application of feed/weed/mosskiller here is is the rule I follow ....

Cut lawn---wait 3 days---apply feed/weed/mosskiller---wait 7 days minimum---cut lawn again.

For the application of feed/fertiliser on its own here is the rule I follow....

Cut lawn---wait 3 days---apply feed/weed/mosskiller---wait 3 days minimum---cut lawn again

If you are looking for moss killer you should be able to source some here.... Moss killer

I managed to get the moss killer down last night.

One question - If it doesn't rain when should I water the lawn?

With the dew falls we are getting these nights there should be no need to water in. But for the record most fertiliser pack recommend rain or watering within 3 days.
