Hi Birdie,
We're lucky enough to have a natural oak woodland behind the house, an endless changing world. It's my type of gardening....letting nature do it's stuff and giving firewood to keep warm in winter when we do the woodland management (picking up dead branches)......Here's a few pics, there's always loads to look at , at any time of the year....

Hi Sal
I'm the same when it come to eating them, there are a couple that I am really sure about but if there's any doubt I'll leave alone. The Organic Centre in Rossinver are running courses on foraging if it's handy for you......

Hi Garlicbreath, I appreciate the space every day.....

| hi,yes they have lots of courses i would be interested in,i looked on their site previously but they are miles from Kerry and i have school age triplets and a 90 year old dad to sort out before i can go anywhere,it means if anything goes wrong while i`m away i need to be able to get back quickly,i have taken the kids (and left dh with dad)and they enjoy gardening courses but not good when i have to book accomodation for us all,

Sounds like you have your hands full there Sal.......not much time for gardening....
I still haven't got the mower....more opportunities for fungi pics.
I spotted these in their own little micro climate...
