Hi all, I'm new to the site.... recently been made redundant and suddenly found time to do something with our acre.... My uncle is an organic grower in Wicklow and has been giving out to me that I have a field that we do nothing with so I have no excuse now!
We have started growing a few bits and pieces and have invested in a 40ft tunnel .... we have just purchased a rotovator too as the area we have had ploughed is a bit too big to have to go at without it!
We are new to growing fruit and veg so I'm sure we'll have loads of questions for all u experienced gardeners! _________________ Sinead |

Hi sinead and welcome
Sorry to hear about the job. It sounds like you're turning a crisis into an opportunity, so best of luck with that. I'm relatively new here as well but have already learned loads. They're a helpful bunch around here |

Thanks Foxylock, I'm one of the ones that smiled when I got the news re the job was due back from maternity leave and didn't want to return anyway!
I'm sure I'll kill off more than I grow .... I'll just have to figure out what takes longer for me to kill! _________________ Sinead |

Well then maybe start with a cactus or some bindweed. Bindweed is almost immortal !! |
