Hi there, I may be moving house towards the end of the year (October/November) we have been in this house for the last few years, and my plants are my babies, however I am no expert. The thing is I want to bring my plants with me.
I have bamboo tree's that I split last year(we have 2 but after spliting them we now have 19)
I also have some ferns(although most of these are in pots) I have some young trees and shrubs aswell as bulbs of all sorts and some rubarb and herbs/ Roses ect... when would be the best time to prepare these plants for the move?
Would I be better waiting till the end of October to start potting these plants up. I don't want to lose any of them if that is at all possible.
Looking forward to your tips and advice. |

i'd also discuss this with your solicitor - it might be that the purchaser has a reasonable assumption that all plants in the garden go with the house. people will often take the garden as one of the reasons to buy the house. |

Thanks for that, but the house is a council house, so the plants will be coming with me, Im not selling the house, just giving it back to the concil and taking my plants with me to the new house(garden) if thats possible, as the plants have been grown and looked after by me from the time they were only tiny.
Thanks again for your advice |

I was going to try to pot up as many of the plants as possible before the move, but not sure when the best time to do this would be, I was thinking starting to dig them up in September, what do you think? |

thanks for that James, I just had a look at that there now, there is a lot of plants to be moved, so I may have to start moving the younger smaller plants soon. Is there any particular compost you would reccommend. |
