Lashing rain all afternoon here in Kildare. It's like monsoon season. Not doing my new grass much good, I can tell you. It'll be a good test for my new retaining wall Shocked

Every time it stops raining here it brightens up and then comes another torrential down pour. Definitely like monsoon season!

Man, oh man. What weather we are having at the moment. Gale force winds and driving rain. I'm looking out the window at the moment and the rain is moving from right to left Shocked

I'm a couple of miles from the Ryder Cup event and I just wanted to say a few words on the poor old Irish Gardai. At each road junction within about five miles of the K Club stands a solitary gardai, coat buttoned up, huddled against a hedge or a wall for whatever shelter is available. They were there before everybody got up this morning and will still be there when everybody goes home this evening. Protecting and serving, the good old Gardai.

Laughing Laughing With nothing to do but think of the overtime , Laughing
Its dry here in Dublin
but I've been looking at a lot of forecasts and it looks like the next few days are going to be bad , the rain at the moment is coming from the Atlantic and will pass east in the next 12 hours . However there is a nasty weather system (hurricane ) coming from the south and that's the one that will cause the problems

I've started using the Firefox browser (looks cool, runs on Macs, Linux and Windows, has a nifty advert blocking feature, and it's FREE) and I've discovered that you can get an extension that puts weather info and forecasts in the bar at the bottom of the browser window. So now I have the weather all the time, and it even has a little radar image. Nice Very Happy

There's a page about how to get the bits you need here.

Actually, the weather forecasts are cool, but having used it for a while I love the adblocking in Firefox. Now, whenever I use other browsers the ads drive me mental.
