from time to time when i get a pot plant and go to repot it, i find short fat dark grubs at the root,what are they?when put bedding in today i found 2 of these same grubs,and are they harmful?they are like really ugly caterpillars.

Any chance you could get a clear photograph of one? They may be harmless but they may be nasty like weavel larvae.

Vine weevil larvae are very easy to spot, they are actually small and creamy white. So "dark grubs" sound like somthing else. |

no,these are much larger and dirty browny grey,unfortunatly i went to uk and just got back sunday,i havnt any of these grubs to take pics of now,but i`m sure i will find more,i seem to find them as i repot my plants, |
