Hi everyone, as you can see I'm new here, and being very cheeky by jumping straight in.
Does anyone know if I can get a Grey Pearl Rose here in Ireland? It's a hybrid tea.
If not does anyone know if there is another type of grey rose?
Again sorry for jumping right in. |

This rose is not truely grey, gray rose, it's more light tan to lavender/mauve giving the impression of grey. Similar to the claim of blue roses, which are close to blue but not quite there.
Grey Pearl Rose was mainly sold in the USA years back and even then it was hard to get.
Reasons......... a very poor grower, very hungry for feed and prone to every mildew disease going.
If you can find it you will also be spraying it within an inch of its life to keep blackspot under control on it.
Definitely not one for the novice gardener.
Such is the way with many Mauve roses Nfo.
I can suggest a few other possible "Greys" for you which are much more readily available through order with most garden centres in Ireland.
Try..........
Twice In A Blue Moon (Hybrid Tea)
Winchester Cathedral (Shrub Rose)
