About ten years ago I got some Joshua tree seeds, which have successfully grown. Currently they live in the greenhouse, but I would be keen to find a permanent home.
The question is, would they survive the Irish winter or even the wet summers as they normally live in arid conditions

I had one growing in Dumfriesshire in Scotland, it had the protection of being in an arboretum. If you gave it protection of sorts, perhaps a south facing wall, and plenty drainage etc you should be quite successful in Wicklow.

Thanks Bill
Unfortunately I live on the side of a hill that can get very windy. (No walls, only windbreak material)
I might wait till they get a bit bigger and give them away
