Well I am Irish and my client wanted a country cottage look. She had lived in England for many years and misses it!

What is the set up for irrigation there? Are there hidden irrigation pipes we can't see. As I presume the courgette (you call the zucchini I think) would struggle in the warmth of LA.

It is a drip system on the soil surface or just below the mulch. I turn it on for one hour once a week and really soak the soil, mulch heavily in summer and that works well. This area is near the beach and has a maritome climate and temps rarely go above 85 degrees. Other parts of the City can get 100 plus at times.
