Its that time of year again. MIDGES.
Has any body purchased a midge magnet or similar product?
Are they as good as they advertise?
I don 't want to buy one if the midges are still going to eat me.
any other ideas?

midge magnet is a machine that attracts midges , see www.oysterbed.ie.
I haven.t seen one working but if it works they have a new customer.
Just about finished the pond and waterfall, we work all day so the evenings are the only time we could appreciate and enjoy all the hard work we have done , but alas the little blighters have put paid that idea.
have you any suggestions as th what plants may deter them?

Hi Pauline

Thats looks very dear in price, they must really be on your hitlist Twisted Evil

I too have been suffering from the blighters, I spray exposed skin with mosquito repellent before going out, and it appears to work...not the ideal solution, I know.

See a previous post :

BTW, don't bother with sonic repellents, apparently they don't work.
