Today I planted a Calistemon -
I also divided and transplanted a miscanthus grass and irises (the boggy kind)
What about you? _________________ "But no one puts flowers

The last thing I put down were peas 10 to 15 days ago. But wait til I tell you. These were marrowfats you soak overnight and boil the following day to make mushy peas. I put a small handful in a jar of water which I then kept in the kitchen til they sprouted. As they sprouted I stuck them in one of the raised beds over a period of about five days. I've watered the bed every day. Now here's a crazy thing. They all burst out today together. How come they did not come up at the rate they were sown? _________________ Retired trouble-maker. twitters @walltoall and dreams of being promoted to Pedunculate Oaker. |

In the teeth of a gale, we planted two regal Scots Pines, to symbolise our two (part-Scottish) grandchildren....and we staked them VERY well (the trees I mean!) |

Some lupins, and delphinums to fill some gaps.
If you dont count all my little plantlets that got blown over in the gales last night. That had to be popped back in to pots before i left for work. |

Is there much of a taste difference in the purple carrots..?
Would be interesting to see the looks on my family's faces if I served them up on a plate some day _________________ .
