Still pretty blistering here....was over 100 today. Just before dark, the humidity dropped some, and all the birds came out for a while. They've been hiding for days in this intense heat, but tonight were out and singing like crazy. Like they were making up for lost time. Was quite a racket....and a welcome one.

17-18 degrees c here in the west.
Drizzling.
And wouldn't you know it, today was the day I had set out for soil movement in the new front garden.
Working soil in the wet destroys the soils structure, so I will have to wait.
Once the drizzle stops, I should be able to work after an hour or two.

Lovely sunny day here in Dublin , the air feels a bit heavy so I think we can anticipate some showers .

Rain here in Dublin , its a nice soft rain that is penetrating the ground after the long dry spell , Everywhere I go in Dublin I see the effects of the drought with many mature trees dead

Same here Bugs.
Its easy plonk a semi-mature tree into the ground, but its another to give it adequate water maintenance for the first summer.

Anyhow, the temp here in the west is about 14-15 degrees c.
It rained in the morning, but has cleared up now albeit overcast.
I actually got to work the soil in the front garden yesterday and created a soil mix,
blending topsoil, peat, farmyard manure and drainage chip.
The soil is too wet to work today though.
Loads of pics and a blow by blow account to come.

I agree GPI But I was not talking about newly planted semi matures . The ones I am seeing are mature cherry , birch , mountain ash etc particularly street trees with a concrete path on one side and a concrete road on the other

Yes indeed Bugs.
I have a feeling many of the macho male members will be desperate to shake off the "Hazel" label. Laughing
