I bought a cucumber plant this year, thinking that I wouldn't have much success as I don't have a green house, but I'd give it a go anyway.
It's a F1 Femspot and it currently has one 7" cucumber and 3 more on the way! Shocked Any information I read tells me to harvest when 'its ready' and other info says that they won't grow as big as supermarket cucumbers.
So when do you think I can harvest it?
(Obviously as it's my first cucumber - it is a prize winning specimen Laughing )

Shocked Lucky you.......Laughing Laughing
The usual method is to pick your cucumbers at 6 to 8 inches long. Around this time the veg is evenly green, firm and crisp and crunchy. And the seeds inside (if any) will not have had time to become hard. Whatever you do, do not allow your cucumbers to turn yellow before picking. You can then store the cucumbers in plastic bags in the fridge for up to two weeks.
