No bother. You should see how carried away I get when I visit a garden centre or nursery. |

Shefra,
nothing fancy just a pocket sized point and click pentax. I did edit some of the pictures, the Kestrel photo has been cropped to get rid of some of the distractions, the floral display was quite dark but attempts to lighten it show that I need to improve my selection technique ( white bits in the roof and around the flowers). All have been resized to fit onto the page.
JennyS has has set a high standard with her photographs, I need to practice to get to her standard.
Apologies, verge, this thread is getting off topic again. |

I went to Bloom on Sunday - the weather was dismal. But I thought the show was good. There was one poor driver who couldn't get over the bridge to the parking area as their car kept slipping back, and the parking area was gradually getting muddier as the day went on. The area in front of the toilets was like a small lake and any leaflets you picked up got soaked. It was such a pity! But I loved the show gardens and I have some piccies below.....

| Hi all. I went to Bloom at 10 on Saturday morning. No problems with parking, crowds, getting tea! The early bird catches the worm. By the time I left at 1 o,clock, it was crazy with people. My only complaint is they should provide trolleys or a collection point for purchases.I would have bought loads of stuff if I could have got it back to my car! |

Hi Guys, I have not been on for a long time but try to peep in once
in a while .Yesterday I visited the Bloom Fest and my overall
impression was favourable .Many nice gardens on display .
I brought some potential customers with me to see what
type of garden they would like and GPI they overwhelmingly went for
the fives senses ( which I know you were involved in ) garden.
They said it was the type of garden they could see themselves
sitting in . So congrats James ..

Ah sure I had a small hand in it.
I did not even get a chance to get up to the festival to see the construction.
Anybody got any pics of that particular garden (Fives senses)? _________________ If you benefited from irishgardeners.com, please link to us or tell others, so that the site can grow and benefit more gardeners.

I have a few more piccies I must post over the weekend.
I overheard the designer of the show garden in photo No's 3 & 4, talking to a member of the public. That garden would normally cost 130,000eur to build/plant. It cost her 100,000 eur to put it together and her sponsors were happy to sell it at Bloom07 for 80,000eur.
Imagine!! Having 80,000 to spend on a garden would be soooo nice. For a split second I imagined myself walking up to her and saying "I'll take it!" |
