It's cold and damp but do you think it's time to be sowing Papaver outside? I did some some in modules because I lost a good few last year. But apparently they don't like being transplanted. The general rule about not transplantation is being ignored eg. Carrots and beetroots being sown in modules and then transplanted. I'm confused _________________ It will never rain roses: when we want to have more roses we must plant more trees. |

The trick to sowing papaver seed is do not cover them as they need light to germinate. I see your point re carrots and parsnips this year I grew them in greenhouse in Milk cartons with bottom removed to get them started 3 seed per pot, ive just planted them out carton and all and removed all but one seed so far so good Ill let you know how it goes. |
