I read that you should plant a Loquat 20 + feet from structures etc, I've planted one beside a building (to replace a fig) in a walled garden, Have I done something dreadful! It's freezing up here most of the time, and wet. I thought I'd be lucky if it survived. Any other tips please...

I didn't know that about Loquats. Sad

I'll move my two next autumn then, as they're near a concrete pond.

My two were planted in 2010 and survived the big freeze that December. It's too cool in this country to get fruits on them, though. Both are doing well and it's going to be an almighty job to try and move them. Sad
