Hi quick question again.
I have just got my hands on a new greenhouse. But the problem is Im short glass.
I was thinking I really have no need to have glass all the way to the ground. Any ideas what I could use on the bottom half of the greenhouse instead of glass. The existing frame is aluminum. Not sure how I would fix wood to the frame.
Cheers.
Tommy

Glass can be expensive alright. When I put my glasshouse together a few years ago I needed approx. 80 panes at 450 * 600mm at 22 each. A considerable sum. So I contacted people who work for window fitting firms who will be removing single glazed windows and replacing them with double glazed units. Got them at a fraction of the price and he cut them to the right size for me as well.
My guess is that you need glazing all the way down for light purposes. Why change the design when the glasshouse manufacturers know better than us? Also, mine has vents at the bottom and in the roof to promote cross ventilation, do you not need this?
