At the top of this page you will see membership list. Find James Kilkelly and press pm. Simples.

I appreciate your reply, but I am still waiting for a moderator to send me a private message.

(For what its worth, I already know how to send and receive private messages, and how to find specific people)

Well I reckon you would be quicker getting a response if you made the move. As the head man hasn't put up a post on here since last July and we haven't heard from his sidekick Verge in 28 months. They might be watching but they are not participating. You make up your own mind Vulkan.

Hang in there the site will pop up for sale soon it usually does and if you are quick enough you could become the owner never mind the moderator. I nearly bought it myself a few years back but I was too nice and told James to get the card out.

Whats it worth Question I wonder .
The forum is piggy backing on the boss's own web site as a sub domain, so other then advertising revenue which amounts to a pittance, the forum has no value . I can tell you the domain irish gardners .com has expired long since and is available for re registration .

The domain name expires Feb 2019, perhaps we should slowly start saying our goodbyes?

pretty much, sadly, yes. Neither the owner or (only) moderator have posted for almost a year, seems like this forum is going to go the way of most other forums.

One day you will come to log in only to find, no forum.

That will be a sad day. I know we don't exactly set the horticultural world on fire, but I like the gentle ramblings of my friends on here. The only other gardeners I know are my sister in England and my 92 year old gardening buddy in Belleek. Sad

It's life Jim but not as we know it.
Will I get to the 5000 posts and get a suitable reward before it goes bust I wonder?
Chlorophyll for blood stopped exciting me long ago!!!

The owner could be contacted to see if he would hand it over, it has no real value.
I have a little IT expertise , I have server space with a number of websites on other interests and I have also set up a number of forums for others.
I need to take on a forum as much as I need a hole in my head, but if push comes to shove I will give this one a home or help get a new one off the ground .
Hows that Very Happy .
