Hi Guys,

my name is Richard, an adoptee of West Cork. I'm more of a plantsman than a gardener really, but there seem to be lots of like minded people here.
My main interests lie in exotic trees and shrubs, in anything hardy from the Southern hemisphere and in propagating.
I really appreciate the photos, as I usually identify plants that way, not being very good at botany.
Maybe, later, I can seed swap with a few of you.

Thats enough for now
Happy gardening
Richard

Hi. I live in Castlebar and am very interested in only non-toxic means to deter "pests" (whatever that means to you!)

As well as attracking NATIVE species to do their "job."

I love life here. I have an extensive Biology background which is always seeking a life of its own...

Experience is the greatest instructor of it, ain't it????

Hi guys,
thanks for the welcome and nice to meet you all. I like the idea of the non-toxic means....I try to do that also, but occasionally have to give in as part of my income is made from plant sales. However, my partner and I try to raise veg. totally organically (with a small O, you understand). I'm certainly not in favour of supporting the agro-chemical industry, or anyone else who is profiting by poisoning us all.
Now I've probably started a furore, so I'll sign off .

Regards

Richard
