I was sorry to hear that Margo. It's been a really rough time for you.

Yes I'm still here Tagwex! Other things on my mind at the moment. But as Margo (and Arnie) said 'I'll be back'.

Hello everybody I'm back, have you missed me. After a traumatic 3 months we decided to go on a cruise round Gran Caneria. The cruise was lovely and it was smashing being waited on hand and foot.
We visited the different places but was quite shocked at the derelict buildings and the building sites were everywhere. The places that had been built were absolute monstrosities and completely out of keeping.
However we did visit a couple of botanical gardens but sadly not many flowers out even though the temperature was 33. We visited a lovely organic farm up in the volcanic hills. Very interested how they bled the palm trees once a day to get syrup out that apparently tastes like maple syrup. Bought a little bottle to try it.
Came back to rain rain rain and my garden looks a complete mess

Hi Margo, welcome back! Don't think you missed much while you were away. Should have been gardening today, but looking at the forecast and what's going on outside, think I'll pass. Those all weather gardening days have gone.

Tagwex, remember those tatty sheds in the field next to us? They are no more, yay! Very Happy The owner told my friend (his sister) that he was cutting back the overgrown hedge roadside. His sister said 'that'll expose those horrible sheds'. He must have thought in for a penny, in for a pound - the site has been levelled.

Hiya Sue. Yes it is very quiet and as you say not much gardening done due to weather. Makes me angry when my friend in UK has said she's spent all day on the allotment Surprised I can't remember when last I spent the whole day in the garden.

So glad fireworks are banned here. She said the fireworks are non stop. They started in Oct and you can guarantee they will be going off till January. One thing I do not miss

Same here! My sister says it's like the West Bank there. She has the TV turned up and the cat on sedatives! Laughing
