Does anybody give their potatoes a feed when they are starting to develop later on in the season. I know nitrogen is good to get the green stalks and leaves started.
I've added some feed of sulphate of potash to the earlies. I'm planning on doing the same for main crops.
Has anyone fed potash to the spuds ? _________________ vincent71 |

You can add bone meal, wood ashes and seaweed to add additional nutrients during the growing season. Throw on some compost when earthing up. Great way to get rid of large amounts of excess.
Personally I use wood ash saved from the stove all winter long and the sawdust from the chainsaw. _________________ “It’s my field. It’s my child. I nursed it. I nourished it. I saw to its every want. I dug the rocks out of it with my bare hands and I made a living thing of it!”
