Theres plenty of constructive work for these young people to do . I think that to give a day or twos work for pay by the government instead of a jobseekers allowance will give more respect to the individual and perhaps the thought of earning more by actively searching for work. Action speaks louder than words |

Ado - The trouble with that idea is it equates gardening with punishment and implies that any idiot can be a 'gardener'.
The UK did have a scheme like that when I was unemployed (many moons ago) I jumped at the chance, thinking it might help me get a job in horticulture, How WRONG I was! It was AWFUL. _________________ Be humble, for you are made of earth

It wouldnt have to be gardening. It could be repairing, painting etc. I would like to see young people active and having in the habit of getting up every day for a purpose |
