Hi, I had honeysuckle growing up a trellis on the front of my south facing house. I put a little compost in the hole I dug at the base of the wall and it grew vigorously for 2 years but never flowered. I dug it out in the spring last year and planted a clematis montana, which has grown vigorously but has never had any flowers. I have never had any problem with clematis before. Any ideas before I did it up? Thanks |

Get the soil tested as you may be lacking some minerals. _________________ “It’s my field. It’s my child. I nursed it. I nourished it. I saw to its every want. I dug the rocks out of it with my bare hands and I made a living thing of it!”

thanks, I live on limestone, but is is really just builders sand rubble and a handful of compost, with membrane and gravel pushed over the top, where the clematis is. |
