I should correct myself here, If you live in the south west with a mild climate have the correct soil conditions can priovide protection from frost and supply heat and light then yes you can grow anything, but is it worth the effort. When I said no, If you planted one of these in your garden in say Kildare or Donegal it is very doubtful it would succesfully produce a crop on a regular basis. Although it will flower |

Some years back, while visiting friends who had moved to the mountains of Southern Spain, I opened the curtains on the first morning there and saw that there was fresh snow on the mountains and frost on the windows. I thought it had starting snowing again but it was almond blossom fluttering past the windows.
I think, like a number of other tender plants, almonds can stand a degree or two of frost, it is the wet that gets them every time. Well how would you like to spend several months of the year up to your ankles in freezing water? _________________ Be humble, for you are made of earth
