Lovely photos, Ado. I've one of that dolmen with my daughter and neice sitting on it doing a "Lion King"! And Fanad Head lighthouse is in such a spectacular spot. When I was in the Algarve a few years ago I took a trip to Cape St Vincent - there's another magnificent spot with a lighthouse. There is something magic to me about "end of the earth" places like that.

As for us Nordies, as a person of our acquaintance refers to us, we even manage to do Global Warming better up here! At least, that is, according to tonight's RTE news - last night it was 16 degrees, the warmest December temperature ever recorded at
Malin Head (and you can't get more northern than that).

Yes I remember seeing that picture, I took these pics of Donegal in 2011. It was a very wet day when I took that pic of Fanad Lighthouse but the rest of the week the sun shone down. I had 2 suitcases , one with rain gear, boots warm clothes the other with sandals sunglasses etc. I wonder what T will have to say about that , poor little divil , he's not well, man flu. The one of Roundstone I took when we holiday ed there and my 85 year old dad wanted to paint it , he has taken up painting in recent years and is very good at it but as T will say Dad being a Wexford man etc ,Hope your cold is gone GG oh it was 14 degrees on wed Don't know what it was yesterday tho Amazing for December, a lot of flowers are still blooming

I would say that you being an intelligent model county woman and heading to an alien nordie landscape that you covered all eventualities. Most people though wouldn't even bother going there! You must have been in the girl guides, always be prepared.
