Can anyone recommend a good guide for identifying ferns?
Various ferns occur naturally in my garden and I'm going to plant more. I've begun noticing the wide variety of ferns that grow in various places locally and I'd really like to get to know more about them.
Ideas, anyone (preferably pocket-sized and not too expensive)?

Thanks, Ado. I've got some good info from Shady Plants, here in Ireland, who stock a wide range. I bought a couple of ferns from him at Bloom. I think what I'm looking for is more a field guide so that I can identify ferns I see out walking in some of our woodlands. I see that there's a Collins guide to wild flowers of Britain and Ireland that includes all native ferns. I will get a copy.

Thanks Greengage, that looks very good. I'll see if our excellent second-hand book seller can get me a copy.
