I have walked in this park many times and on Sunday I noticed a few Ginko Biloba trees ( hope I am spelling it right) it was the colour that attracted me

Ginkgo biloba.....Gorgeous trees.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ginkgo_biloba

Usually rather upright in growth.
I just love the shape of the leaves. Cannot think of any other tree that looks similar
.

The leaves turns butter yellow in the autumn.
Trees are either Male OR Female..
Young trees do not bear fruit.
The fruits stink!

In Cardiff they are planted as street trees.

They also make good street trees - I know of a street off the A13 in London that is lined with very handsome specimens.

Some ginkos survived being close to Ground Zero in Hiroshima and seedlings from them are now being grown on by schoolchildren, worldwide, as a gesture of the celebration of life/opposition to war.
