I have a problem with magpies coming into my greenhouse and eating my strawberries and tomatoes. I need to keep the door open to allow air to circulate so any suggestions to keep the pests coming out?
Thanks |

Some form of netting, preferably mounted on a wooden frame, would be the obvious answer. Hinge it on the inside, perhaps, to become a second door? _________________ A novice gardener on newly cultivated, stoney ground. |

A 12 bore would solve the problem.
There is a way of catching magpies. You need a metal cage that has a funnel opening so that they can only get in. Get a magpie from a few miles away and put it in the cage as bait. Your magpies will go in to attack being very territorial, end of problem. Do what you wish with captured birds. _________________ “It’s my field. It’s my child. I nursed it. I nourished it.
