Hi all, I have a couple of question about the rose below, it isn't my rose, unfortunately, because I found it very beatiful. It grows from a bush, in a '800 villa in the coastal part of Liguria-Toscana. The owner told me he may give me a cutting when pruning - but still have to think abut it
Anyway, first, is it safe to take cuttings in Ireland, or i risk importing diseases ecc...
Second, it looks a bit like a damascena, but anybody can guess what it is? In that area it was cultivated a particular rosa called 'rosa bruna', used to make some kind of syrup. But the info about it are very sketchy.
Last, do you think it is possible to cultivate it successfully here?
Thanks a million!
