Nice fancy pictures how come they only put up pictures of them just done and not a few years old, I cannot find my picture but I saw a sedum one now full of scutch grass and wilowherb, needs lots of maintenance then you have the Health and safety issue working at heights (Laugh not) If you knew what I know.

I think the same can be said about any type of roof . Im looking out at my own cheep garden shed and I know I have to get up there and re-felt it as its long over due. I don't think 'maintenance free' should be a phrase, because 'maintenance free' anything doesn't exist.
In regards sedum roofs being full of scutch grass and wilowherb. It would be interesting to see what the sedum was laid on. If it were on the correct lightweight soil I think it should be pretty minimal. I haven't been back to see the roof I laid, but I met the lady I did it for quite recently had she said it was looking great. (I be sure to post a pic here if im back there ) Very Happy

I just don't know anymore, you try to educate some people and all you get back is ridicule. If you want to see how me and mine can sing click on my you tube link.

Oh come on! You are creating a habitat on your roof! Of course you'll have to weed it. It wants to turn into a forest. Anyone who creates a green roof without accepting and planning for this is a fool.
