|
|
My neighbours all have that concrete edging between lawn and flowerbed that looks like rope. I've looked for it online and found what I think is the same thing, but it seems to be around 7 for 6cm, if I'm translating the millimetres right. At this rate, I think edging my lawn would cost around 80 (or is that 800? Arithmetic isn't my strong point!) for the 45 feet around.
a) Are my figures right?
b) Is it cheaper anywhere else? |

Hi,
It has to be cheaper than that 6 cm is less than 2.5 inches
If you need 45 foot of it that would be 1371cm which at that price would cost 1600, which sounds Crazy.
Are you sure it was 7 for 6cm _________________ Tommy K |

Ahh that makes more sense
its 575mm long which is 57.5cm
you will probably need 24 of them which would cost 171.60,
That's a bit easier to pay for _________________ Tommy K |

Your 6cm should most likely read 600mm, therefore you need 23 pieces @ 7 each which is 161. _________________ Its my field. Its my child. I nursed it. I nourished it. I saw to its every want. I dug the rocks out of it with my bare hands and I made a living thing of it!

From the Ballygarvan ad. the item is 575mm long or 22.6 inches @ 25.4mm to the inch. Height is a little over 6 inches.
Your 45 foot length equals 540 inches which, divided by the 22.6, equates to roughly 24 pieces needed. @ 7.15 each, your outlay will be just over 170.
Check my Maths but I hope it's right. _________________ A novice gardener on newly cultivated, stoney ground. |

Check your maths
HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!
Sorry. Recovering myself. I many times almost cheated either myself or the bank fo sums up to 500 when lodging money back in the day, due to my very very very dodgy arithmetic.
170 sounds ok. Hmm. Thanks. It would really improve my garden to have neat edging. |

You shouldn't believe any of us until Good Guy has had his say. Now there is a true mathematician - he could come up with anything.
