And I always thought "hinny" was a Geordie term of endearment, as in the words of the song Blaydon Races: "Weer are ye gangin' tae, Geordie hinny?" It's available on YouTube if you don't believe me.

Just reading back and I see my question has been answered if I had of noted what I read...."A mule has given birth to a male foal ". Therefore there is a female mule.

DR Pat O callaghan was the first person from a Independent Ireland to win.
otherwise it was John Pius Boland for tennis in 1896 who recieved his medals when the English flag was raised because they didnt have an Irish one.

the first person to win a medal for ireland (post creation of the free state) was jack b yeats, for painting.

keep 1 apple in the basket and give the basket containg the apple to the 5th child
