More than interesting! I wonder what other ancient seeds may be lurking in archeologists' drawers? (Please don't take that the wrong way!) Who knows what lost genes may be recovered, or what valuable traits?

Much the same being done with the DNA from a well preserved mammoth found in Siberia.

Also a mummy found in the ice. Apparently she is heavily tattoo'd and piercings and died of breast cancer. Not a lot changes does it.

Though these days, breast cancer need not be a death sentence, thank God, as we know in this family.
