do you keep many? we got two chickens a few months ago and i reckon it may have rekindled an interest in my father in law, who used to keep several dozen fowl, from chickens to peacocks.

Six at the moment, Sufolk white, Cream legbars and Colombian blacktails all are hybrids but hope to breed some pure breeds next spring such as buff sussex, welsummers,Buff Orpington, Plymouth Rock, and Wyandotte, dont plan on breeding all of these just one or two also thinking of getting some Quail as they seem easy to keep, there are sales most months around the country lots of enthuasists and some chancers but thats all part of the fun.Next weeks shoow in Gurteen is for this years birds you will see good quality birds and maybe some older birds pretending they are younger (Its a female thing Laughing ) Irish foowl or poultry ireland or irish poultry society are good sites I can be found on Irish fowl using same name Greengage looking for info and provocking others.
