I planted 3 geraniums in a big heavy planter thing that is outside with garden soil in it. I can't move it in for winter as I said its big and heavy. For winter can I take them up and pot them with potting soil and bring them inside. Then when spring comes can I plant them outside again. Will this work and will my geraniums be ok. _________________ I love my Hazel tree! |

That should be fine, they need to be kept on the dry side over the winter.... maybe I shouldn't be giving advice as my pelargoniums ( I presume that's what you refer to rather than herbaceous geraniums ) often look scraggy on their second year.
Maybe other people will have better advice that I should be taking on board ! |

Ya they're pelargoniums should I keep them in a dark place and keep them relatively dry. |

I wouldn't imagine a dark place would do them any good.....just let then rest in a light frost-free place. |
