I wont be making a gas cylinder stove now as I was talked out of having it in the sitting room no matter how fancy I made it. So last night we bought a second hand stove for 200, fitting it in today. Dare say it will be lit tonight, couldn't wait until October to see how it works!

we've never had a problem with tar building up on the glass of the stove - it does have an airwash system, and we only ever burn fairly well seasoned wood, albeit mainly softwoods.
