Hi there all you gardeners out there. A beginner gardener here from Waterford. I have only begun gardening since buying my new house a few months ago. I have not much experience or skills but I hope to learn a lot from this forum.

Welcome along, plenty to learn here as there are many veins of wisdom from all over the country, but there are some that you will get no sense out of at all!!! You will find out yourself as walk down the garden path with us.

Thank you Tagwex. Are you a vein of wisdom or a senseless one?

Ooooooh a cheeky one on board! You shall have to make your mind up yourself as we go along. Totally senseless about handing out wisdom.
Give us all an insight into what you have and what you want to achieve, you must have plans. Will you get to do anything this year or are you planning for next?

I wouldn't listen to him, Gemini. He's from next door. Very Happy Very Happy

Seriously, welcome to the forum. And the best thing to do when gardening is to trust your instinct. Of course if you get stuck, ask and we'll all pile in and help you.

I don't have a door. I live on the long acre at the side of the road. My garden keeps changing every day.

tagwex, for the benefit of future amateur gardeners, any chance you might speak english? and just answer their query, as we have listened to and answered yours.

My English is perfectly good thank you. I didn't notice a gardening question to answer did you? You may come under a category that I mentioned above.

Welcome Gemini, and welcome to gardening too. As you can see, we're a varied bunch, but generous in heart as true gardeners are. Good luck with your new garden...and house too.

Welcome Gemini. No shortage of banter here, then, as you will have noticed. But there is lots of friendliness and barrow loads of good information. All the best with your new ventures. I'm looking forward to hearing about them.

Hi all. Delighted with all the welcomes. Was gone all day today. Nephew made his First Communion. I enjoyed today but I really missed my garden. Do you lot ever feel like that?

@tunnelsof hens10 I really like your tagline not green fingers but brown knees. Gardening is hard work, is it not?

Did you not like mine then gemini, i thought it was very apt considering what this place was like when we moved in? It is a line from the film 'The Field' so we called this place an gort.

Hi Tagwex it's not that I didn't like yours just tunnel's struck a chord with me. Did you really have to do all that? If so it is very apt.
Ps. Had to smile. You do know The Field is a PLAY.
