His home address is in the link I posted Sive. I nominate you as you have a caring way with words. _________________ Its my field. Its my child. I nursed it. I nourished it. I saw to its every want. I dug the rocks out of it with my bare hands and I made a living thing of it!

Thank you Tagwex, I can certainly do that; if no one else wants to do so, I can send a card to Michael's family and give them details of the website so that they can visit it themselves if they would like to. |

Well my thinking was that you Sive, apart from Mr Kilkelly himself, are the highest poster and you have chlorophyll for blood as compared to a wee novice like myself. I only had two three posts with Michael, presuming you had more. _________________ Its my field. Its my child. I nursed it. I nourished it. I saw to its every want. I'd have no problem doing this myself, but to be honest I think it would be a nicer touch coming from a member/members rather than someone like the site admin.
Michael was all about the members in the way in which he helped them. _________________ Gardening books.

I've been out all day hence my late reply. I am quite happy to send a card/letter to Michael's family, James and I will do so on Tuesday, when I have a free day. I always need some quiet time to write an appropriate letter of condolence...... |

I wrote a card of sympathy to Michael Brenock's family on behalf of the site members....it is in the post today.
I have explained how they can access the forum, Michael's posts and more pertinently this thread. So if anyone wants to add any more thoughts about Michael in case his family does read them, now is the time to do so. |

Well done, quite sure that you did an eloquent job befitting the man. _________________ Its my field. Its my child. I nursed it. I nourished it. I saw to its every want. I dug the rocks out of it with my bare hands and I made a living thing of it!

What a genuinely nice thing to do, Sive.
I often came across Mr Brenock's advice, when seeking answers to various problems, way before I joined. I can only thank him now, sadly, but the info still appreciated and will continue to be, I'm sure. |

852 views and only 13 posts of condolence, that is really disappointing for a man that helped so many with his deep horticultural knowledge. I do realise that a lot of people have left the forum for whatever reason and don't contribute anymore but still........ 13? _________________ Its my field. Its my child. I nursed it. I nourished it. 1. Maybe some of those viewers didn't have any interaction with Michael and it consider it inappropriate to add a comment.
2. Some viewers don't have logins.
3. I've probably loaded this page a dozen or so times, yet this is only my second post.
4. Some people address death differently. |
