Awwww thanks. Provisionally heading for Waterville in the first few days of April. All subject to change though as that is the nature of it.

Troughs and Lesotho are stunning in this.

Stunning is the word. And some of that scenery in Lesotho! I reckon I know where the inspiration for some of the scenes in Lion King came from, now.

The troughs and plants are superb - that long trough is extraordinary. (I found a polystyrene fish box outside Dunnes yesterday and I'm keeping it to try out hyper tufa) I was interested to see the tradescantia. I have a couple of very similar, but much larger plants (can't remember variety). I've always been interested in the Tradescants and went to see their tomb once. It's on the banks of the Thames in the Museum of Garden History, in a lovely little deconsecrated church near Southwark, I think. Worth a visit if in London.

As for my Czech? As good as my Swahili! But it was interesting to see that 1909 document in botanical Latin. I could make out a lot of it, even without a dictionary. I last studied Latin when I was 14. Good old Latin. Never thought I'd say that, back then!
