Hi all!
I have a small garden in Lucan that was a lawn until recently. I want to create some raised beds for veg growing akin to Monty Don's beds in Fork-to-Fork. I have come across some recommendations on this site and elsewhere for sources of hazel however they have proved unfruitful so far.
Would anyone have suggestions for where to get a supplier, or even alternatives/locations in limerick / north tipp / kildare areas that i could procure my own?
I'm suggesting hazel as i came across suggestions that willow / other woods either do not produce appropriately lengthy or of suitable consistency suitable for the weaved effect or else rot quickly when in contact with mud. however i would be glad to hear of other peoples experiences with alternatives! |
